Speaker:
Mr. Russell Petty
currently serves as the Diversity Outreach Coordinator at the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). In this capacity, Russell is responsible for coordinating outreach initiatives in underserved communities, specifically the African American community. Prior to this position, Russell served as the Volunteer Program Coordinator where he coordinated local, state, and national outreach programs and activities to bring awareness to the various issues surrounding missing and exploited children. His professional experience includes working with the National 4-H Council, Close Up Foundation and other non-profit organizations in the field of youth development.

Overview:
Technology has provided our young people with convenience, opportunities and unprecedented access to information at lightning speed. But it also has provided a platform for predators and others who intend to harm them. A Department of Justice study shows that annually 800,000 children are reported to law enforcement as missing. One in five of these children is African American.

We believe that churches and other Christian ministries are in a unique position to take a leadership role in combating this problem if they are aware of the threats and have effective tools to address them. If you minister to, work with, teach or care about young people, don’t miss this meeting!

Reservations:
This meeting is free. However, space is limited and reservations are required. RSVP deadline, Monday, January 25th. Please make your reservations today!
